About the business/role/team The Core Modernisation project is critical for supporting the RBA's mission "of promoting the economic welfare the Australian people through our monetary and financial policies and operations." It enables the IT strategy of standardising, simplifying and automating the bank's infrastructure, minimising risk through the introduction of new data centre and modernised infrastructure.

About the role With sound knowledge of ITSM tools (Service Now, JIRA), the Release Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of software and infrastructure releases across various environments within the project. This role involves close collaboration with the Release Manager and project team to develop and maintain a release schedule for the program delivering high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities Develop the End to End Release processDevelop and maintain a comprehensive release schedule, balancing technical dependencies, business requirements, and stakeholder engagement.Identify and manage risks and interdependencies associated with releases, implementing effective mitigation strategies.Coordinate releases into key environments in consultation with relevant stakeholders, ensuring smooth transitions.Work closely with developers to assess the impact of code merges and ensure alignment on release readiness.Perform release readiness reviews and quality assurance checks to uphold the highest standards.Ensure platform stability post-release and manage post-incident reviews, including comprehensive documentation.Collaborate with technical and test leads to continuously uplift the quality of release.Coordinate release activities with external vendors and partners as needed.Develop and maintain release management tools and processes.Collaborate with project managers to align release schedules with project timelines.Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of release status and any issues that may impact the release.Facilitate communication between different teams involved in the release process.Continuously improve the release process to enhance efficiency and quality.
