About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join our NSW Commercial Banking team and manage a portfolio of customers in the $1M - $5M business lending segment. As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of business customers, focusing on providing industry expertise, credit assessment, and tailored lending solutions.
What will your day look like? Portfolio Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients within the $1M - $5M lending segment, ensuring the development of long-term customer relationships. Customer Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and acquire new clients through networking, business development, and strategic planning. Credit Assessment & Origination: Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, ensuring credit policies and risk management frameworks are adhered to while providing tailored lending solutions. Direct & Broker Introduced Transactions: Handle both directly sourced and broker-introduced business, delivering high-quality service and ensuring smooth collaboration with broker partners. Customer Solutions: Provide industry expertise and market insights to tailor product solutions, matching business needs with Suncorp's suite of products. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with a dedicated Assistant Relationship Manager to enhance service delivery and streamline processes. Risk Management: Proactively manage risk across the portfolio by identifying potential issues and developing solutions to minimize exposure. What will you bring? Experience: Proven track record in commercial banking, managing a portfolio of clients in the $1M - $5M business lending segment. Credit Skills: Strong background in credit assessment and structuring lending facilities. Relationship Management: Ability to build and grow relationships with business clients and broker partners. Commercial Acumen: A strategic thinker who understands business lending dynamics. Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and negotiate terms. Coach & Mentor: Ability to work collaboratively and lead an Assistant Relationship Manager. Customer-Centric: A passion for understanding and addressing customer needs.
