About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join our NSW Commercial Banking team and manage a portfolio of customers in the $1M - $5M business lending segment. As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of business customers, providing industry expertise, credit assessment, and tailored lending solutions.
What will your day look like? Portfolio Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients within the $1M - $5M lending segment, ensuring the development of long-term customer relationships. Customer Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and acquire new clients through networking, business development, and strategic planning. Credit Assessment & Origination: Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, ensuring credit policies and risk management frameworks are adhered to while providing tailored lending solutions that meet customer needs. Direct & Broker Introduced Transactions: Handle both directly sourced and broker-introduced business, delivering high-quality service and ensuring smooth collaboration with broker partners. Customer Solutions: Provide industry expertise and market insights to tailor product solutions, matching business needs with Suncorp's suite of products, including lending, deposits, and transactional banking. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with a dedicated Assistant Relationship Manager to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and ensure operational efficiency. Risk Management: Proactively manage risk across the portfolio by identifying potential issues and developing solutions to minimize exposure and maintain credit quality. What will you bring?Experience: Proven track record in commercial banking, with experience in managing a portfolio of clients in the $1M - $5M business lending segment. Credit Skills: Strong background in credit assessment, origination, and structuring lending facilities, with a deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and risk management. Relationship Management: Ability to build, maintain, and grow relationships with business clients and broker partners, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Commercial Acumen: A strategic thinker who understands the dynamics of business lending and can identify opportunities for growth and development. Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate terms with customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders. Customer-Centric: A passion for understanding and addressing customer needs, ensuring a positive experience throughout the lending journey. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
