Role Summary

The Australian Client Servicing team provides support for our clients across both Asset Manager and Asset Owner client groups, covering large institutional clients including Sovereign Wealth and Superannuation Funds. The clients are supported by the client service managers who have day-to-day contact across the range of services supported by our operational teams and ultimately working closely with the Relationship Manager.

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing relationships for clients across a range of services. You will utilize knowledge of master custody services to exceed client expectations and to add value to the relationship. This will involve being a passionate client advocate with the ability to navigate the global Northern business effectively and efficiently to service the client.

This role will be located in Melbourne and report to the Head of Client Services for Asset Owners.

What you will do Manage client relationships who take a variety of fund administration and custody services.Ensure overall client satisfaction by facilitating efforts of service teams, coordinating resources to ensure timely delivery and issue-resolution, and effectively communicating client concerns/needs across the organisation.Develop a complete understanding of client's business, objectives, goals, and market challenges.Cultivate strong working relationships with client contacts.Demonstrate ability to add value by anticipating possible solutions and partnering with clients to implement.Keep clients informed of emerging issues, products and services, regulatory/tax changes, and the general institutional trust environment, advising the client of the impact on their business and on our own services.Cross-sell products/services and participate in development of solutions to client needs, coordinate presentations, bring in experts when appropriate, close the sale, ensure smooth delivery of new services, and communicate emerging needs.Manage client profitability, understand competitive environment, develop pricing strategies, and work with the team to enhance profitability.About YouKnowledge of asset servicing and superannuation acquired through related experience.Strong awareness of risk to both the client and Northern Trust.Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills required to identify and resolve client issues.Evidence of both technical and strategic thinking.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with clients & internal partners.Excellent communication skills - negotiation and influence and the ability to explain complex products/process.Proven experience in financial services, operations, superannuation.Working with Us:
