This role will help accelerate the growth of our already substantial global Alpha Capture programme.
The successful candidatewill joina small team of Relationship Managers andwill have responsibility for our Alpha Capturerelationships at the firm and contributor level in China.This role will work closely withourinvestment management teamto combine inputs from the programme with ourquantitativestrategies.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining relationships with China onshore partners (eg sell-side brokers, alternative data vendors) at a contributor and firm level.
- Identifyingnew opportunities for our Alpha Capture programmein terms of signals,relationships and technology.
- Workingwith Winton'squantinvestment group to grow our Alpha Captureprogram.
- Producing performance analysis reportstoclosely monitorand communicatewiththecontributorsandfirms;to encourage betteralphaanddeeperconnections.
- Joining client meetings withcolleaguesto present the program and relevant products.
- Preparing internal reports formanagement information.
- Representingthe Company at relevant industryseminarsand other events as appropriate.
Requirements:
- 4-8years of workingexperiencein an external facing role inChinafinancial markets.For example,Equity Sales,EquityTrader, Product Structuring,DataMarket Operation.
- Good understanding ofChina equity markets with familiarity withAlpha Capture is essential.
- Basic technology skills(e.g.Python, MATLAB, SQL, Bloomberg)andquantitative knowledge (statistics).
- Ability togeneratesuccessful commercial relationships with counterparties in financial institutions.
- Evidence of high levels of self-motivation, strong work ethic and determination.
- Strong presentation &interpersonalskills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
