Our client is a growing boutique funds management business which has a real reputation for being innovative and highly client focused. They have an established institutional client base, and their areas of real growth are the wholesale and HNW channels. This role will support the Distribution Director and CEO around firming up current relationships, and looking at opportunities to grow with current and potential new clients.
This role will be a busy one and very outbound with an expectation to assist with roadshows and sales opportunities, to manage roadshow client follow-up, and client servicing (including quarterly review calls, clients requests). It's not a sales delivery focused role and you will represent the fund at industry conferences, and you will need exceptional presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to ensure their client satisfaction and further business.Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and concerns and circulate messages internally.Develop and implement strategies to improve client retention rates and keep them proactively updated around product updates.Coordinate and participate in client-related events, such as meetings, conferences, or special engagements - especially with HNW clients.Represent the fund at industry events, maintaining a professional approach and promoting positive client relationships.Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations and sales) to ensure client needs are being met efficiently.Prepare and deliver regular client reports, performance reviews, and business analysis.Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries via email, phone, and in-person meetings.Resolve issues or complaints effectively, working with other departments to find solutions.This will be a role with a lot of client engagement and travel involved so you need to be able to commit to this type of role. It may not always be 9-5 by nature of the role requirements. You will work alongside a highly motivated team and represent an extremely successful and innovative fund.
Although it's not a "sales" role, there's an expectation that the candidate coming in will be commercially savvy and understand the funds management industry. You need to be a natural rapport builder and someone who is proactive and solutions focused.
