About the role Reporting to the Detailing Manager, this role is responsible for the design, modelling and documentation of reinforcing steel to Australia's major construction projects.
You will interact directly with Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers and internal stakeholders to determine customer needs and ensure the accurate supply of reinforcing steel to each major project.
This role will be based out of our site in Canberra.
Your responsibilities will include: Create bar bending schedules for high rise/infrastructure projects Engage with clients and design engineers to achieve optimal outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders Implement design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle Understand project objectives and advise on engineering solutions This role would suit an experienced Rebar Detailer, or a graduate looking to start their career in the construction and engineering industry.

Advantageous skills for this role: Previous experience as a reinforcing detailer / reinforcing scheduler.
Technical detail-oriented mindset, able to read and understand technical drawings.
Experience in working and managing multiple stakeholders in a project.
Strong understanding of reo manufacturing concepts, limitations and constructability aspects.
Having experience in Revit, TEKLA, Auto CAD or similar or willingness to adapt to 3 D modelling of reinforcing as a standard work process.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A diploma, certificate or degree in civil/structural engineering, drafting, architecture, construction management.
