About the RoleYou will be responsible for supporting the Traditional Owner trainee development in a broad range of land rehabilitation activities and contribute technical expertise to:
Support execution of progressive closure projects across the site.Optimise operation of the onsite tree nursery.Implement and execute a broad range of rehabilitation activities including weed management, direct seeding, tree planting, and seed collection.Provide training and leadership in land rehabilitation tasks.Collaborate with the Site Rehabilitation Team to deliver outcomes and meet KPIs.Support internal rehabilitation monitoring activities.About YouAs the ideal candidate you will have experience with the following:
Possess 3+ years of experience in a land management and similar environmental role.Demonstrated experience in coaching inexperienced personnel in land rehabilitation and restoration activities.Show proficiency in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including various cultures and Indigenous peoples.Hold a qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science or Land Management).Exhibit strong collaboration skills that support effective and positive partnerships.Proven ability to work collaboratively to achieve results.Demonstrated understanding of the social and economic issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
