Permanent full-time opportunity to lead the development of quality manufacturing standards and techniques for the work unit, engage in complex clinical and technical tasks requiring independent decision making and judgement as a technical specialist in the field of rehabilitation engineering, and manage and monitor the quality of output of the multi-disciplinary team of the REC while they undertake manufacturing tasks.

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values.Provide independent expert technical judgement on complex clinical and technical procedures within a work area and to practitioners from other facilities, service areas, and/or from other disciplines.Apply expert technical judgement to lead and direct the overall improvement of a work unit/s technical service quality and development activities.Lead the technical skills development of a trans-disciplinary work team, consisting of technical and/or clinical HP officers from one or more professional disciplines, inclusive of students and their supervision.Health EquityIt is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).
