Job Description We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Orange NSW.
In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day with the support of a strong, close team of healthcare professionals. You will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological, and support them to achieve return to health and work outcomes.
Your duties will include:
Case management with manageable caseloads and support of Rehabilitation Assistants; Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes; Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs; Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals; Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, and employer-funded injury prevention programs; Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and work outcomes; Completing assessments including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments. Qualifications You'll be a driven and energetic professional with the following qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling; General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC); Previous experience in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry is highly regarded; Excellent communication skills; Compassion, kindness, and empathy; Well-developed time management skills; A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
