Service: Community Mental Health - Rehabilitation Services (Whyalla) Whyalla Hospital hosts the Saltbush Community Mental Health Rehabilitation service, which supports people who may have been living independently in the community but require a more supported environment to enhance their living skills, or those who may have completed their stay in hospital and are ready for community-based treatment and rehabilitation.
Support and Training: Supervision – as per the Regional LHN Allied Health Supervision FrameworkAccess to Professional Development fundingAccess to contextual Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training (specific to the region)About the Role: As an Occupational Therapist, you'll use your clinical expertise, specialized knowledge, and professional skills to create, implement, and evaluate comprehensive services designed to promote recovery in mental health care. Your work will be centered around the individual needs of each consumer, ensuring a holistic approach to care in both community and rehabilitation settings.
Working with a high degree of autonomy, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team of psychologists, support workers, and students, playing a key role in shaping the clinical framework.
About You: Must hold a recognized Occupational Therapy qualification and be eligible for registration as an occupational therapist within Australia.Apply professional expertise, developing generalist/specialist knowledge, clinical competence and experience.Exercise professional judgment in the selection and adaptation of established methods, procedures, and techniques.Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances) Applicant Information: The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
