All roles are for full-time or part-time, ongoing or non-going employment with ability for flexible work arrangements to be considered.Duties of these roles may include, but not limited to:Provide Rehabilitation advice to ensure legislative compliance and better practice, including mentoring and support to AFP business areas;Contributing to the development and implementation of corporate policies, processes and systems which enhance the delivery of AFP operational outcomes; andMaintaining currency in subject matter expertise through ongoing professional development and learning opportunities outside the formal education process.You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments.What will you do?The role requirements include the following:Providing professional advice, assessment and consultation to ensure compliance with the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988, Guidelines for Rehabilitation Authorities 2019, Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and respective Codes of Practice and applicable AFP GovernanceGathering, recording and distributing information specific to compensation claims in accordance with AFP and legislative requirementsProviding advice on rights and obligations relating to early access, workers' compensation, rehabilitation and the provision of suitable employmentProvision of advice and assistance in relation to the submission of employer statements to Comcare; Implementation and coordination of rehabilitation programs, including return to work plans, in accordance with the return-to-work hierarchyParticipation in audits that assess rehabilitation compliance with the AFP's rehabilitation management system.Essential RequirementsYou must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.Relevant, demonstrated industry experience of at least one yearAdditional InformationThis position has been advertised nationally however, the role is located in Canberra, ACT.
Remote working options may be negotiated for successful applicants.
