A05 Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator ASAP start | 3 months + possible extension $62.67 + super per hour QLD State Government Brisbane CBD The Role Our client is currently seeking a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator to join their team in Brisbane CBD! You will be working with the WHS Manager to implement and monitor department wide WHS matters, within a diverse team of building, construction and maintenance field and office staff.
Your duties will include: Support return-to-work activities including reviewing and developing suitable duties plans, reviewing of medical certificates and rehabilitation activities for example, ergonomic assessments and organising OT assessments. Assisting with organising / conducting planning actions for whole of business improvement initiatives, such as organising and coordinating department wide WHS training and assisting with organising safety culture activities. Assist with reporting and investigating WHS&E incidents and contractor notifiable incidents. Assist with coordinating emergency planning and response activities. Coordinating the delivery of Departmental health and safety programs. Provide assistance to the WHS Manager on WHS matters including reporting and planning, coordination of WHS events, maintaining the SHE Audit schedule and WHS Hub page. You To perform the role of a RRTWC effectively, an individual should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge of the workers' compensation system, e.g. legislative requirements and the responsibilities of employers and injured employees. Knowledge of the rehabilitation process, including the legislated Standard of Rehabilitation. The ability to communicate effectively with, and to facilitate the assistance of, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, line managers, injured employees and others. Excellent written communication and numeracy skills. Deliver suitable duties plan to staff across a wide range of skill sets. Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel.
