Regulatory Reporting Manager/Assistant Manager | Bank An interesting and varied opportunity with a leading global bank, offering a mix of regulatory reporting and financial reporting responsibilities.
MARS Recruitment has partnered with a leading global bank to find a dedicated and seasoned Regulatory Reporting Manager/Assistant Manager to join their team. They are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional to oversee the preparation and submission of accurate regulatory reports in compliance with Australian financial regulations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that all reporting obligations, including APRA, ABS, and RBA requirements, are met, while contributing to strategic initiatives focused on process improvement and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Prepare returns for the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA).
Ensure timely submission of returns to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
Analyse the reporting impact of new products and advise on their effect on the reporting system.
Perform month-end closing tasks, including preparation and review of accounting entries, adjustments, and intercompany reconciliations.
Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for regulatory reporting requirements.
Stay updated on changes to financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Conduct data analysis and reconciliations to identify and correct discrepancies.
Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting protocols and documentation.
Support in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Criteria:
4+ years of experience in regulatory reporting within Australia.
Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements in a financial services environment.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
