About the Role:
In this role, you'll play a key part in advocating for member interests within regulatory policy and ensuring program success. Working directly with our Head of Regulatory Affairs, you'll contribute to high-profile programs and initiatives that align with our core mission. This includes overseeing the Responsible Care program, supporting member communication and data collection efforts, and assisting in policy reform for a globally competitive and trusted industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Industry Leadership & Advocacy: Contribute to the Responsible Care program, work on regulatory reforms, and engage in industry forums, representing the organisation's stance on critical regulatory matters. Policy Support & Coordination: Prepare and develop industry submissions, monitor legislative impacts, and manage stakeholder communication across multiple channels, including monthly Regulatory Bulletins and member forums. Data & Program Management: Collect and analyse data from OHS and environmental surveys, coordinate with industry standards bodies, and ensure effective member participation. Member Engagement: Address regulatory inquiries, coordinate standards programs, and support the organisation in delivering exceptional member services. To be considered you must have:
Project & Program Management Experience: Strong organisational skills with a proven track record in managing complex projects and programs. Communication Excellence: Exceptional ability to translate technical information into accessible insights, tailored for diverse audiences. Analytical Mindset: Skilled in analysing technical and socio-political data, balancing the needs of varied stakeholders. Adaptability & Innovation: Comfortable managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline 7+ years of experience in regulatory policy, stakeholder engagement, program oversight, and project planning. Familiarity with the chemistry or similar industry (chemicals, paints/coatings, or plastics) and experience in a manufacturing or technology-focused sector is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
