About Us
Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia's largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all. This is where you come in!
About the Role
With a significant program of regulatory change planned in the wholesale energy area, we are looking to increase our capability to monitor, assess and manage the change in our business. As our new Regulatory Pipeline Lead, you will use your regulatory affairs skills and knowledge of the wholesale energy regulations to monitor and identify wholesale regulatory changes, ensuring changes are identified on time, and high-level impacts to wholesale processes and systems are understood by the business.
This critical role will see you involved in the following:
Liaising with the Legal & Regulatory teams and external bodies to understand the pipeline and likelihood of upcoming regulatory change.
Monitoring and identifying regulatory change whilst developing the wholesale regulatory change roadmap and plan.
Reviewing and translating the impact of regulatory requirements on business processes and representing the wholesale teams at external forums.
About You
Key to the success of this role will be collaborating with the broader Trading and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure optimised understanding and performance in relation to regulatory change. Specifically, we are preferencing candidates with:
Degree and/or Tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
Experience reviewing & translating regulatory requirements into energy business process and system requirements – preferably within a Wholesale Energy setting.
Experience working with internal legal & regulatory teams and external regulatory bodies to manage rule changes would be highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to interact with multiple streams of a regulatory change program and develop a consolidated program roadmap.
Understanding of the Australian wholesale energy sector, regulatory environment and obligations is highly desirable.
