YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide Business Units and their Principals and Customers with Regulatory support, ensuring compliance with all obligations under any laws, regulations, or self-regulatory programs as they apply in Australia and New Zealand and assist the Regulatory Manager ANZ in any acquisition projects providing support in the regulatory environment.
Support the QSHE, Commercial and Supply Chain Teams with all regulatory responsibilities, including but not limited to safety data sheets (SDS's) and Customer and Principal requests for regulatory information such as Product Information Forms (PIF's) for the food industry and product registrations.Working with the Regulatory Manager, ensure guideline/standards are followed and report any non-compliance issues, both short term and long term, in writing to the QSHE Manager ANZ.Ensure that in the event local regulation is more stringent than the guideline, local regulation is always maintained, and that non-compliance issues are reported in writing and as per Brenntag's non-conformance processes.Proactively prevent risks of non-compliance to business by escalating and reporting to the Regulatory Manager.Approve new product requests and ensure compliance with all required regulatory authorities (AICIS, EPA NZ, APVMA, TGA, MPI, FSANZ, Chemical Weapons, Chemicals of Security Concern, Drugs Precursors, Poisons/Medicine Schedule, Department of Agriculture, MPI).Produce country compliant SDS and labels for new products for Australia and New Zealand to comply with GHS requirements.Ensure that food products comply with all regulatory requirements.Assess existing & new chemicals under Australian Industrial Chemical Introduction Scheme (AICIS) and work with the Commercial Team and Suppliers to submit relevant declarations and reports to AICIS.Assist with technical enquiries (internal and external) including interpreting QSHE/Regulatory technical information and providing support.Gather information from SAP system on sales of products.Provide monthly Regulatory/QSHE reporting for respective responsibilities.Participate in Regulatory/QSHE audits as required.Participate and be a member of the HACCP team as required.YOUR PROFILETertiary qualifications in chemistry or similar qualification.2-5 years' experience in a similar regulatory role with preferred experience in industrial chemicals or chemical distribution.Proficient computer knowledge in using Access and Internet based databases including SAP.Intermediate Microsoft skills – particularly Excel.OUR OFFEROur culture is driven by our values of Care, Trust, Clarity, Excellence and Safety.
