The Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria's ( VPRBV ) role is to protect both the public and the health and wellbeing of animals, by regulating veterinary practitioners in Victoria.
We register veterinary practitioners and oversee service standards and conduct.
This includes handling complaints about veterinary practitioners and investigating matters relating to their professional conduct.The Investigations Team
is responsible for undertaking investigative and enforcement actions associated with veterinary practitioners.We're looking for an investigator to join our Investigations Team.
You will be responsible for leading investigations into complaints, writing investigation reports, drafting allegations, findings and determinations, and reasons for decision.Duties may include but are not limited to:Drafting a range of documents arising from administrative decisions including briefing papers, investigation reports, allegations and particulars, findings and determinations, and reasons for decision.Supporting the VPRBV board and fellow team members in the interpretation and analysis of information as it relates to the Board's regulatory duties under the Act.Identifying, interpreting, and applying relevant legislation throughout the investigation and compliance process.Assisting in preparing for and coordinating formal and informal hearings.Knowledge and experienceApplicants should have experience in law enforcement and/or a regulatory agency.
