Lead economic analysis to support regulatory compliance and strategy development.

The Regulatory Economist will be responsible for conducting economic analysis and providing strategic insights to support regulatory compliance and policy development. This role requires a deep understanding of economic principles and their application within the energy sector. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that regulatory strategies are effectively implemented and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct economic analysis to support regulatory submissions. Develop economic models to assess regulatory impacts. Analyse market trends and economic data. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on economic findings. Advise on economic implications of regulatory changes. Collaborate with internal teams on policy development. Provide economic insights for strategic decision-making. Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry associations. Monitor and interpret regulatory and economic developments. Support the preparation of regulatory filings and submissions. Evaluate the economic impact of regulatory proposals. Participate in stakeholder consultations and regulatory forums. Assist in developing pricing strategies based on economic analysis. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for regulatory initiatives. Report on economic activities to senior management. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field. Significant experience in economic analysis within the energy sector. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and policies. Proficiency in economic modelling and data analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
