Reporting to the Bank Regulatory Compliance Manager the Bank Regulatory Compliance Specialist assists in managing and delivering the compliance program of work for Banking teams, in addition to providing specialised Compliance support and advice to 1 st Line of Defence Risk and Compliance teams, Control Assurance and business teams as required. The role acts as a conduit for cross function compliance initiatives.
What you'll do: Providing specialist compliance advice on all aspects of banking regulation.Supporting the effective co-ordination of consultation feedback for regulatory and legislative changesSupporting education programs and compliance maturity uplift in all areas of banking compliance.Maintaining Compliance Plans for Banking teams.Providing governance over the Bank's AFS and Credit Licences, including maintaining Responsible Manager registers, monitoring compliance with ongoing competence requirements and providing management reporting.Obtaining specialist advice from key stakeholders in Delivery and Transformation, Compliance and Legal to support deliverables and to build knowledge and maturity of project management disciplines, regulation and legislation.Supporting remediation programs for Compliance incidents and issues, ensuring alignment with SML Policies, Frameworks and Standards for remediation.Supporting productive relationships with key Banking regulators and industry bodies as required, including (but not limited to) providing advice for the completion of annual certifications, regulatory change requirements and reporting requirements.What you'll bring 5+ years' experience in banking or financial services with a strong focus on Compliance Advanced understanding of regulation and legislation related to an ADISuperior stakeholder skills, including co-ordination of key programs of work or projectsAdvanced understanding of Suncorp Policies, Frameworks and Standards.Risk Management – understand and respond to the regulatory environment that the Bank operates in.Governance – develop robust solutions and structures aligned to key risk, compliance and regulatory requirements.Analytical – develop solutions, courses of action and solution recommendations by using an information base to identify key issues, compare data and determine cause-effect relationships.Change Management – ability to recognise, understand and support need for change and anticipate.Communication – convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written in a timely manner.
