Your role within Policy, Performance and First Nations will support the department to improve performance and achieve better outcomes for the State through the setting up and delivery of the departments and Government's long-term strategic reform agenda and objectives.
The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.You will be part of Regulatory Services which is responsible for administering legislation that impacts on providers of community housing, residential services, manufactured homes, and retirement villages.As Regulatory Compliance Officer you will undertake assessment and analysis of organisational and business specific policies, procedures, forms, registers and other evidence documents related to the registration, accreditation and compliance of organisations and the commission of offences under the associated Acts (Residential Services (Accreditation) Act 2002, Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003, Retirement Villages Act 1999, Housing Act 2003).What You Will Be DoingComplete registrations, accreditations, investigations, and compliance site visits, which may require travel to regional areas.Draft detailed registration and compliance reports and enforcement notices that are clear, concise and include sound reasons for judgements and recommendations.Monitor services for compliance with legislation, accreditation standards and other prescribed requirements.Initiate corrective, or enforcement action where necessary.Build and maintain effective working relationships with service providers, immediate teams, and work groups.Contribute to and regularly prepare fit for purpose reports on activities, evaluations, recommendations, and decisions relevant to the operation of Regulatory Services.Assist with the preparation of Ministerial, Executive and other forms of business correspondence in a timely and professional manner and consistent with departmental guidelines.Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/613851/25Closing Date: Thursday, 23 January 2025Occupational group: Building Services
