The Role
As the Manager of the Licensing business unit within the Regulation division, you will lead and mentor a team of solicitors, overseeing regulatory matters under the Legal Profession Act 2007. You will provide expert legal advice to the General Manager on the regulation of the legal profession, including trust accounting, external interventions, and legal practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities Drafting policies and updating procedures.Contributing to strategic initiatives to enhance regulatory processes.Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as Lexon and law enforcement agencies, to ensure alignment with business objectives.Skills & Competencies
You have a law degree, at least 7 years of post-admission experience, and a current or eligible practicing certificate. You excel in leading teams, managing priorities, and providing strategic legal advice. With strong problem-solving, communication skills, and attention to detail, you work well both independently and collaboratively. You are committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.
