In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing all regulatory and compliance functions within Blue NRG. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing our compliance framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations, and supporting strategic initiatives within the business.Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory ComplianceOversee the administration of the Compliance Register and ensure it reflects the latest regulatory and corporate compliance requirements.Develop, implement, and maintain compliance systems, processes, and procedures that meet regulatory obligations.Work closely with functions to embed a strong compliance culture and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Lead compliance monitoring activities, including process reviews, risk assessments, and effectiveness analysis.Prepare and deliver internal and external compliance reporting, ensuring full transparency with stakeholders and regulators.Advise on legal obligations under energy laws, privacy laws, and other applicable legislation.Legal EscalationsServe as the first point of contact for legal matters and escalate issues to Group Legal as needed.Provide regulatory advice on jurisdictional energy laws, privacy, and financial services laws, ensuring Blue NRG's compliance with these regulations.Manage and report any legal breaches to regulators and assist in remediation efforts.Compliance Monitoring and ReportingConduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to both internal policies and external regulatory requirements.Monitor regulatory changes and update internal stakeholders on the potential impact of new or amended regulations.Lead internal audits related to regulatory compliance and manage external audits conducted by industry regulators.Project ManagementOversee compliance workstreams within major company projects, ensuring compliance obligations are met in new initiatives.Collaborate with other departments to deliver on business improvement objectives and support strategic business goals.About YouExposure to the Australian energy markets and relevant legal, regulatory and compliance experience is essential.Experience in a similar role within an energy retailer.High level organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.Commercial acumen with the ability to form policy.What's in it for you?Great team environment and people.Play an important role in a high growth business.Prime Collins Street office location.Health and Wellbeing rebate.
