This newly created role of Regulatory Affairs and Strategy Manager at Kmart Group will focus on creating and delivering a comprehensive regulatory engagement strategy for Kmart Group.
As a leadership role within the business, you'll support the growth and development of your team whilst having the chance to make a real impact on how we operate and our strategic plans for the future.
What you'll be doingOversee centralised governance including policy and maturing the corporate compliance management framework with strategy development, control testing and attestation activities that are aligned with international best practices.Build and maintain solid working relationships with State and Commonwealth regulators to assist in effective management of compliance issues.Develop insights and action/treatment plans for further improvement based on learnings from engaging with the regulator and reviewing the control environment.Analyse the regulatory landscape and provide strategic insights into materials for senior stakeholders, outlining current and emerging regulatory risks and trends.Manage responses to regulatory requests and work closely with business areas to ensure Kmart Group understands and delivers against regulatory expectations.Design and maintain a compliance management framework that meets international standards and best practices, ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant regulations.Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements across the organization.To be successful in this role you'll have:5-7 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a related field, preferably within a regulated industry.A relevant qualification in Compliance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Ideally experience managing ACCC engagement.Strong knowledge of legal and compliance principles.Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced or intricately regulated environment, where meeting strict deadlines is paramount.Demonstrated expertise in crafting and implementing training programs and frameworks.Ability to work in an ambiguous, changing environment.Comfort in shaping and positioning packs/messaging at Senior Leader level.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, fostering a culture of shared success.Benefits we'll offer youFlexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy.A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart and Bunnings.Access to the Kmart for You benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health – with over 60 suppliers!We want you to feel rewarded for your commitment and hard work; that's why everyone gets the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.We offer inclusive parental leave, and ongoing support offered through our partnership with Circle In for team members of all backgrounds and family circumstances.A dynamic learning and support program.Opportunity to fast track your career through our Mentor Program as a Mentee or Mentor.A Kudos recognition program, where you are nominated by your peers to spin a wheel to win a stack of cool prizes.Great career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers Group.At Kmart, we celebrate the rich diversity of the communities in which we operate and are committed to creating inclusive and safe environments where all our team members can contribute and succeed.
