So, if you love it here as much as we do, and you want to shape our region for the future – you'll want to join our team!The Customer Response Branch is responsible for enabling a great place to live and protecting the environment for the community on the Sunshine Coast by working with our customers and business to achieve timely, customer focused service delivery, advice and advocacy in the areas of local laws, environment, health and legislative compliance.Position Overview:As a Regulated Parking Officer, you will provide customer focused enforcement of Council's Local Laws and relevant State legislation relating to regulated parking with an emphasis on education, self-regulation, and to work collaboratively as part of a multi-function team within the Regulated Parking Unit and across the broader Customer Response Branch.About you:You will undertake proactive rostered regulated parking patrols in all regulated areas, including metered parking areas, and issue infringement notices through the use of hand held devices and automated number plate vehicle recognition processes.You will represent Council in interactions with the community and provide accurate and timely information and advice regarding operations that falls within the responsibility of the team.You will assist with community education programs as they relate to the Community Response branch, and inform and educate the community, liaise with key stakeholder groups, on issues relating to road safety and parking.Minimum Requirements:As a requirement for this role you will possess a Current Drivers Licence - "C" Class, and have completed Year 12 studies or have equivalent experience.You will have the ability to work calmly in a high-pressure customer service environment and have the ability to set and maintain a high standard of output through personal presentation and attention to detail.Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending.
