.The objective of this position is to contribute to the court through the provision of high level customer service and an efficient and effective range of administrative and clerical functions. including, responding to telephone and front counter customer enquiries, the listing of matters for court, the registration of court related documents, the entry of outcomes, administration of jury panels.

Period of Appointment Fixed Term - until 5 May 2025.
Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available.
Duties Working within a team of the Burnie Supreme Court Registry to receive and respond to members of the public, the legal profession, Tasmania Police and clerical staff for all general enquiries for the Registry via the front count, telephone and electronic means. Entry and preparation of all court documents into a range of computerised databases, for the Civil and the Criminal jurisdictions. Receive and receipt court related fee payments including cash, cheques and EFTPOS and daily balancing. Filing and general duties within the registry of Burnie as required. Ensure the proper and accurate recording of court proceedings and associated correspondence and administration of jury service for the region. Pre-employment Checks The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
