By working at TAFE Queensland, you can be part of a highly experienced workforce closely connected with their industries and dedicated to delivering best practices and innovative training.Your OpportunityAs the Registration Officer, you will support the implementation of the VET Quality Framework and ESOS Act, reviews and submits the registration applications for domestic and international qualifications and is responsible for supporting the educational quality initiatives throughout the Region to reduce reputation and registration risk.This position sits in the Educational Quality Portfolio, Product Governance team and reports to Principal Consultant, Product Governance.This is a Temporary Full-time opportunity until 17 April 2025 unless otherwise determined.The position will be based primarily at Bracken Ridge Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.Live a safety culture, lead by example and support the Health Safety and Environment Management System to create a TAFE Queensland Brisbane-wide safety culture.Lead on and direct the following activities of the registration team, with a focus on high quality, accurate and timely outcomes: The maintenance of all registers required to track domestic and CRICOS registrations and audit activities.Lead TQB's Product Portfolio Registrations, and prepare Registration and CRICOS documentation in accordance with ASQA's delegation.Work collaboratively with Educational Teams to collate Regional Registration and CRICOS registration evidenceLiaise with Product Leads and Sponsors, Regional Registration Officers, Regional Quality Teams, TQ, Product Systems Support, Teachers and PLC members on all registration matters.Prepare, review and allocate registration work to the Quality Team for completion with a particular focus on more complex Product Portfolio led registrations.Attend Educational Team Meetings and PLC's to provide direction to participants on Training Packages, accredited courses, transition arrangements and requirements for registration.Prepare Registration Application and determine Delivery Team Risk Rating.
Facilitate Qualification removals from scope including Student Study Package checks, Unspecified Elective additions, Cluster creation/removal and Skill Set Requests within Training Package Structure requirements.Source statistical data in accordance with ASQA's delegation for regional delivery team complaints, audit, completion rates, student satisfaction and AQUILLEES.Support colleagues with participation in the annual TQ Delegation Audit and participate in any other audits as required.
Maintain currency of knowledge on registration of training programs, the Region's scope of registration and Registration Procedures and processes.Deliver training and provide mentoring support to new staff processing registrations.Undertake a range of quality checks for specific elements of the registration process such as CRICOS timetables, registration applications and eTAS.Preparation of reports and other written correspondence where required, including management of removals of qualifications from scope.Lead on the review of business functions to ensure day to day activities align with business operations and contribute to the improvement of business processes and practices, including the development of work instructions and training materials.Actively participate in ad hoc projects, appropriate committees, networks, forums and external bodies on matters relating to registration quality standards, auditing and compliance to support the strategic direction of TAFE Queensland.Undertake other duties as required.
How you will be assessedThe ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities within the context of the key responsibilities outlined above: Detailed knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to Registered Training Organisations (RTO), government policies and delegations under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the processes required for an organisation to maintain their status as a RTO and International Student provider.Demonstrated ability to coordinate, review and formulate corrective actions for domestic and CRICOS registrations extending to an advisory service for qualification packaging rules.Proven ability to organise and achieve quality work outcomes, meet deadlines and function autonomously within a team environment focusing on systemic processes.Well-developed written communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated by effectively producing reports of a high standard for external stakeholders and the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a broad range of clients.Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, positive attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic challenging and changing environment and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of outstanding client service.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements There are no mandatory requirements for this role.
Highly Desirable Requirements Holds the TAEDES402 Use Training Packages and Accredited Courses to Meet Client Needs or a willingness to undertake training.Audit training and experience.Knowledge of education sector regulation, standards and training packages.
