About Us
Peel Health Campus (PHC)
is a general hospital located in the City of Mandurah, 75 km south of Perth. It originally opened in 1988 as the 32-bed Mandurah District Hospital, and now operates with 206 licensed beds. The recent transition of PHC to the WA Government paves the way for the hospital's redevelopment and service transformation to meet the needs of the Peel-Murray region.
About The Role
The General Surgery unit is responsible for acute and elective admissions. There is a broad case mix of elective and emergency surgical cases with an excellent opportunity to assist in theatre. The variety of surgical presentations to the Emergency Department that require initial review by the surgical JMO team will fast-track and develop your surgical assessment skills.
As a Registrar Within General Surgery, You Will
Perform a range of common surgical procedures under supervision.
Provide high quality, patient-centered care to patients.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to review the medical needs of patients within the hospital.
Provide teaching and support to Doctors in Training, Nursing, Allied Health, and other team members across the service.
