This position will primarily undertake work in the LGH as part of the SPCS consult team with offices based in the primary health building nearby.
SPCS is a friendly and motivated multidisciplinary team that works under primary health and covers the whole of Northern Tasmania.
The role: The Registrar/Senior Registrar is responsible for the day-to-day management of palliative private and public inpatients and outpatients within the Launceston General Hospital and provision of medical support to palliative clients in the community and the Melwood Specialist Palliative Care Unit, as required.
The position is an accredited training position for the Diploma of Palliative Medicine and for advanced training in Palliative Medicine.
Details of Appointment: Fixed Term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 10 February 2025 until 6 February 2026.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Registrars: Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $131,000 - $183,500 per annum + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Note: Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
