About the Radiology Department The department is equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art imaging equipment including multi-slice CT, MRI and high-resolution ultrasound equipment. There is a wide range of interventional procedures performed, particularly in hepatobiliary and oncology intervention. The main department is located on Levels 1 and 2 of the Lance Townsend Building, Austin Hospital. The department medical staff comprises 20.5 EFT of Staff Radiologists (Diagnostic, Interventional and Neurointerventional Specialists) and 20 Radiology Registrars and 4 Fellows.
About the Role The Radiology Department has 20 radiology registrar positions, across all levels of training from first to fifth year (Phases 1, 2 and 3). A registrar position involves time at Austin Hospital Main Campus and the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital Campus. The role requires participation in the daily department workflow as directed by the weekly roster or supervising consultant. Active participation in the departmental clinical meetings, registrar teaching and quality assurance/research activities of the department are expected. Junior staff mentorship, including teaching, supervision, and modelling of expected behaviours/work ethic is also expected.
About You Medical Registration in Australia.
RANZCR accredited training in 4th or 5th year (phase 2 or phase 3) with successful completion of part 2 exams.
Commitment to teamwork, quality, excellence and best practice in health care service delivery.
Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration.
Computer skills including use of email and the Internet.
