Public Health Registrar vacancies for advanced trainees of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine to gain experience in the practice of Public Health Medicine under supported supervision. This position will provide the training contribution to the development of competencies required by the AFPHM as outlined in their current training manual.

The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) Public Health Unit is responsible for maintaining preventative population health strategies within the Central Queensland and Central West regions. As part of its routine operations, Central Queensland Public Health Unit (CQPHU) also conducts industry-sponsored clinical trials and other public health and clinical research, contributing to the advancement of healthcare in the region.
About the role:Public Health Medicine Registrar positions for advanced trainees of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM) to gain broad experience in the practice of Public Health Medicine under supervision in a supportive environment. The placements provide the training contribution to the development of competencies required by the AFPHM as outlined in their current training manual.
About you:Mandatory qualification/s: MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Current AHPRA General RegistrationCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Prior enrolment with or ability to enrol with advanced training in Public Health Medicine with the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM) or any other specialist college. This requires 3 years minimum clinical experience AND the completion (prior to starting) of a suitable Master of Public Health program.Non-Mandatory qualifications/requirements: Experience in clinical trials and certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP-ICH) is desirable.This position may require undertaking duties at another hospital either on secondment or rotation.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $172,382 p.a. is comprised of:
