This hospital is approximately 550 km North of Brisbane and 100 km south-east of Rockhampton.
The hospital has the capacity for a 29-bed medical/surgical ward (including palliative care), a 14-bed gynaecology/maternity ward with four birthing suites, an eight-bed paediatric ward, and a four-bed high dependency unit.
