Registrar / Principal House Officer - Psychiatry - *Talent Pool*Join our team at Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) as a Registrar or Principal House Officer (Psychiatry) and deliver high-quality mental health care aligned with national standards and best practices.

Rockhampton serves as the main mental health service hub for Central Queensland, providing comprehensive mental health programs, acute inpatient care, and community-based services. Key facilities include inpatient and outpatient units at Rockhampton Hospital, with specialised teams for older persons, youth, Indigenous communities, and forensic cases located in the city's CBD. Services cover a wide range of support, from crisis response and alcohol/drug services to psychiatric outreach and rehabilitation programs. The service is accredited for advanced psychiatry training, has strong links with universities, and offers incentives for professional development and research in a supportive regional setting.
About the role:The Registrar or Principal House Officer (Psychiatry) position delivers high-quality medical care to CQMHAODS consumers, following National Standards for Mental Health Services and service-specific protocols. For RANZCP trainees, this role aligns with the requirements of the training program.
About you:MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, the candidate must be eligible for registration with AHPRA with Level 3 supervision and provide the following:Evidence of successful completion of AHPRA recognised English Language test results within the last year.Evidence of successful completion AMC MCQ (part 1) examination (if registering via the Standard Pathway).Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $172,382 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $129,583 - $142,727 p.a. (L4 – L7)An hourly rate between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a.
