About us:The Orthopaedic team comprises the Clinical Director, 4.25FTE Staff Specialist and 1FTE Senior Medical Officer (SMO), with subspecialty interests of arthroplasty, sports, foot and ankle, shoulder, spine and hands.
We have one AOA SET trainee, 7 principal house officers (PHO's), 2 resident medical officers (RMO's) and 4 interns.
Medical students from the University of Queensland rotate through the Department.
We also have an Orthogeriatrician working alongside us.
Orthopaedic patients are admitted to the 44-bed surgical ward.
