$36.10 - $48.99 per hour, plus salary packaging Part time or full-time application welcome Up to $15,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation About the role We are seeking a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN2) to join our Steele Haughton Acute Residential Unit, providing specialist mental health care for older adults 65+.
As an RPN2, you'll deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused care, working closely with consumers, their carers and families as they transition back to their communities.
This role involves performing biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support each consumer's mental health and wellbeing.
You'll work under the guidance of senior nursing staff, with access to expert advice when needed, and contribute to our 24/7, bed-based clinical services, ensuring high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide evidence-based clinical treatments, enhancing recovery from serious mental health conditions.
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and formulate effective treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to achieve consumer goals.
Evaluate and document the effectiveness of consumer treatment plans.
Offer recovery-focused mental health and pharmacological education to consumers and their families .
Skills & Experience Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health.
Experience in mental health nursing and working with consumers with mental health conditions.
Strong engagement skills with consumers and carers, aligned with mental health recovery principles.
Knowledge of evidence-based treatments, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
