Our Purpose Dandenong ACIS sits within the Dandenong Adult community service under the Mental Health Program at Dandenong Area Mental Health Service.
The service provides acute crisis assessment through the CATT team based at Dandenong hospital ART building, and the Emergency Psychiatric Service based in the Dandenong Emergency department.
The service provides short term community management and treatment during an acute phase of mental illness, with the provision of a range of therapeutic interventions.
Both patients and families are provided with education regarding the impact of illness and ways to better manage within their environment by developing coping strategies as they move toward recovery.
About The Role As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse you will be working across the Crisis Assessment Treatment Team (CATT) and the Emergency Psychiatric Service (EPS) providing best patient care to a range of adult consumers with varying degrees of acute psychiatric illness or mental illness and/or drug and alcohol dependency problems.

ACIS has opportunities for Full time/Part time clinicians across a 7 day rotating roster.
About You As a motivated and experienced Grade 3 Psychiatric Nurse, you possess a patient-centered approach and demonstrate a commitment to recovery-focused care.
You are an innovative thinker and are always looking for ways to improve service delivery.
You can also demonstrate a keen understanding of the Mental Health Act (2014) as it relates to delivering holistic patient care.
