Carinya of Bicton is one of the most highly regarded aged care facilities South of the Perth river. Role SummaryOur Registered Nurses play a crucial role in supporting and caring for residents at the facility, ensuring that there is a focus on maintaining their independence as they age.
This is predominantly achieved through the provision of contemporary and timely clinical support and care, aiming to improve age-related deterioration in a resident's social, mental, and physical capacities.
These services are delivered purposefully, always seeking to assist the residents to live independently, and with dignity, self-determination, and comfort.
Responsibilities and DutiesDelivering clinical services, care planning, reviewing and assessing all aspects of clinical careEnsuring that a customer service focus is applied to all clinical care and service deliveryProviding safe and effective clinical care that is derived from evidence-based practice and in line with scope of practiceProviding leadership, supervision, and coaching to the Enrolled Nurses and Assistant in Nursing staff at the facilitySkills, Attributes and ExperienceThe ideal candidates will have significant experience working within residential aged care facilities, and an understanding of the needs of consumers who are residing in or transitioning to residential aged care.
They will be familiar with the applications and particulars of the aged care act and aged care quality standards.
They will also be familiar with managing challenging behaviours, particularly in people who are living with dementia.
Our Registered Nurses provide a high level of leadership to the facility, including conflict resolution, supervision, and striving for continuous improvement.
