Position : Registered Nurses & Midwives Start : ASAP Duration : Short term contracts: 6 - 12 weeks Salary : $40.97 - $54.56 per hour plus superannuation (depending on experience) Location : Hunter New England Region NSW We have vacancies available for Registered Nurses and Midwives across The Hunter New England region of NSW.

Positions Available: Acute/Aged Care Surgical/Theatre ED Triage & ALS General Medical Midwives Locations: Armidale | Barraba | Bingara | Boggabri | Denman | Emmaville | Glen Innes | Gloucester | Gunnedah | Guyra | Inverell | Manilla | Merriwa | Moree | Murrurundi | Muswellbrook | Narrabri | Quirindi | Scone | Singleton | Tamworth | Taree | Tenterfield | Tingha | Walcha | Warialda | Wingham Primary Purpose of the Position: Provide and lead safe, appropriate, and responsive quality nurse care to patients and clients, to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and rural communities.
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices that align with the nursing code of conduct and AHPRA standards.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Provision of safe and efficient nursing care to maximise effective customer outcomes.
Assisting, supporting and guiding the education, clinical placement and development of Enrolled Nurses and fellow Registered Nurses.
Fostering an atmosphere conducive to open communication, problem solving and team building.
Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement within the ward/unit.
Participating in health care planning, practice and evaluation.
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with patients, carers and other health care team members/colleagues regarding nursing care.
Practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's professional standards, Code of Conduct and CORE values.
Actively promotes and participates in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs and engages in practices that promote the best possible health outcomes for patients/clients, and supports a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation.
Key Selection Criteria: Prioritise tasks in a high-volume work area with multiple competing demands.
Provide person centred care given increasing community expectations and health care priorities.
Remain flexible, committed, and engaged with care priorities through varying workloads and staffing arrangements.
Keep up with contemporary approaches to care, including new procedures and technology in a dynamic and progressive healthcare industry.
This is a Category A position.
Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with policy directives for Category A positions prior to offer.
Essential Criteria: Appointments are subject to the following checks/clearances: Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Evidence of Category A vaccinations, immunisations or serology.
Tuberculosis Assessment.
AHPRA Registration.
NDIS Check (where applicable).
Aged Care Check (where applicable).
Reference checks from current supervisor/manager.
National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
Rights to Work in Australia.
