Your focus will be to ensure the provision of high-quality care to our residents to meet their daily care needs by demonstrating professional and collaborative practice and providing supervision and direction to Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) whilst ensuring they are empowered to do as much as they can for themselves.
Requirements Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse, with relevant qualification and experience.
Experience assessing Aged Care Residents and formulating Care Plans Understanding and working knowledge of Commonwealth, State and/or Territory legislation and nursing practices. An understanding of and ability to ensure compliance with residential Aged Care Standards, ACFI requirements, Occupational Health and Safety, food safety and other professional legislative requirements Experience leading, supporting and supervising staff and promoting a team approach in the workplace (Level 2 or 3 RN) First Aid and CPR Certificate Ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees and volunteers Interpersonal skills, patience, common sense and a strong ethos of client service Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision and be self-motivated Proficiency utilising information technology, with well-developed computer skills including MS Office The successful incumbent will need to be flexible and available to work across the day, afternoon and evening shifts.
