Emily Gardens is our 30 bed facility in the small town of The Rock, approximately 20 minutes from Wagga Wagga. Our primary goal is improving (where possible) the health, well-being, and quality of life of our residents. You will play a key part in helping that happen!
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide resident/client centred and individualised care to those accessing our services. You will utilise your compassion, genuine passion for caring, and lead and influence others with your team to make a positive difference to the quality of life of our residents. You will work with other likeminded individuals making up our passionate, caring, and committed team.
DutiesLead a care team to deliver the highest quality, person-first/individualised care to our residents.Assist with preparation of high-quality care plans and assessments.Within your Scope of Practice, ensure safe medication management, best practice wound care, and clinical support for our residents, in line with resident needs and legislative requirements.Support the Clinical leadership team with the management and completion of care assessments to ensure we achieve appropriate funding for the care we deliver.Actively engage in handovers with the Clinical Care Team to ensure continuity of care across shifts.Adhere to all relevant legislative requirements and quality guidelines.Skills and ExperienceRegistration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse – EssentialIdeally 2 – 3 years' experience working within the aged care sector.The ability to work as part of a cohesive team and delegate effectively where appropriate.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A strong understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.Lutheran Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within an NDIS facility, in a risk-assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement.
All aged care workers must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza and have the relevant COVID and Booster vaccinations in line with State legislation. Evidence of these vaccinations will be required prior to commencement.
You will be required to conduct daily Rapid Antigen Tests.
