You will be caring for patients that have had a range of surgical procedures including plastics, surgical oncology, urology and vascular. This is a fast-paced ward where patients do not stay for a long period of time. No two days are the same and you have the opportunity to work with a range of cases to help expand your skill set.
You will report directly to the Butler NUM who is a supportive and hands-on manager that provides regular check-ins and wants to see you succeed in the role. You will also be supported with a detailed onboarding and buddy program and have ongoing support from the CNE and CNS.
Who we're looking for: You'll have current AHPRA registration as an RN with at least 2 years post-registration experience.You'll have a background working in a surgical ward ideally with experience in plastic, surgical oncology, urology and/or vascular.You'll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.You'll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.You'll have the ability to work full time – rotating roster (preferred) but we are also open to consider someone that is looking for part-time work.You'll have full Australian working rights.About Us Adventist HealthCare owns and operates San Day Surgery, Hornsby, and the Sydney Adventist Hospital (fondly known as the San).
