About the role Mater Private Hospital Mackay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Ward. A permanent position that can be full-time or part-time.
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and surrounds since 1927. Located on the northern bank of the Pioneer River since 2003, our Hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
Salary range: $41.47 - $53.30 per hour (RN1) plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900.
What you'll be doing Our Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.
Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines, including legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration, and clinical competencies.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions.Digital and computer proficiency.Minimum of one-year post-graduate experience.Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes.Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice.Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team.Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
