You will be integral to patient care, especially during the crucial pre-admissions and post-operative phases, and will conduct patient assessments/evaluations and monitor patients' recovery immediately after surgery. You will help to create a nurturing and supportive environment for junior Nurses to ensure that all patients receive exceptional care.
You will work a rotating roster covering a range of start times but will not be required to work any weekends, nights or public holidays. You will report to the Surgical Centre Nursing Unit Manager who is very supportive and wants to see you succeed in your role, therefore you will receive a very detailed orientation across the different departments as well as buddy shifts with other Team Leaders.
What we are looking for: You'll have current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' experience within a surgical centre or within a surgical ward.You'll have experience working at a Team Leader level within a hospital setting.You'll have the ability to coach and mentor junior nurses.You'll have exceptional communication skills (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.You'll have the flexibility to work full time hours across a range of 8-hour shifts Mon – Fri – No weekends, nights or public holidays.You'll have full Australian working rightsAbout Us Adventist HealthCare owns and operates San Day Surgery, Hornsby, and the Sydney Adventist Hospital (fondly known as the San).
