Award/Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 3-4 Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 pro rata, per annum Employment type: Part Time Region: North Location: LGH Charles Street, Launceston Seeking Registered Nurse - Student Midwives who can consistently strengthen health outcomes through the provision of quality, clinically appropriate midwifery care in partnership with women and their families/significant others and other health professionals while undertaking study that will lead to registration as a midwife. The Team:
Hospitals North provides antenatal, intrapartum and post-natal care to approx. 1600 women per year, through low-risk continuity of care models, outreach clinics and high-risk multi-disciplinary models. Midwifery students are supported through their study period with paid clinical placement hours of between 48 hours per fortnight and 64 hours per fortnight (dependent on the University you choose to study with).
Details of Appointments:
Multiple fixed term, part time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from 10 February 2025 for a period up to 18 months. Note: hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary:
$75,902 - $102,908 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowance calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Confirmation of enrolment in a midwifery course accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Current Working with Children Registration.
