The Child, Youth and Family Health at the Carlyle Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Registered Nurse (Student Child Health Nurse) to join their team on a temporary basis.
Your opportunity The Registered Nurse provides nursing services within the health service settings; and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care.You will work under the direct and/or indirect supervision of a Clinical Nurse (Child Health Nurse), whilst you are undertaking the postgraduate Child, Adolescent and Family Health qualification (or equivalent).You will be required to enrol and fund the postgraduate study independently.You will be supported to enhance your clinical and theoretical competency in the areas of Child and Adolescent health.You will report to the Nurse Unit Manager.About the Team The Child Youth and Family Health unit provides a primary health service model of care.
The unit offers client-focused screening, monitoring, guidance, and education along with appropriate referrals and early interventions.
The unit provides community-based Child Health Nursing for individuals, families, and groups within the local community.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000 km² and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Sarina.
