You will provide complex care to all clients by working both independently and as part of a team. As a community Stoma nurse, you will provide high quality patient education and care in the comfort of a client's home.
Key Responsibilities Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medicationsProvide complex wound careAccurate/ Timely documentation in all client records.Appropriate communication within the clinical team to ensure care is provided.Complete initial assessments/develop care plans to ensure best outcome for our clients.Monitor and update care plans to ensure appropriate care is providedDeliver education to client and families to enable best possible outcome.Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration, with appropriate escalation.Promoting best practice and initiating quality improvement activitiesWhat you bring Current AHPRA NursingMinimum 2 year acute experience, community experience desirableNDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)Police Clearance with in 6months (or willingness to obtain one)Use of own car – KM allowance providedFull drivers licence, Reliable and comprehensively insured carCPR and Manual handlingA desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisationPost graduate qualifications in Stomal Therapy NursingWhy work for Calvary?
