As a Registered Nurse in Special Care Nursery your responsibilities will be to: Provide quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care.Provide a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.Develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.Work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care, promoting beneficial relationships.When required, work on other wards in the Hospital.What you'll need to succeed: Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA.Minimum of 3 years Neonatal nursing level 2 nursery experience.Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery.Working with Children check (if relevant).Commitment to Quality Patient Care.Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work well independently and within a team.Postgraduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards).Applications close: 2nd December 2024.

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check (no more than 3 months old) and a current working with children check prior to appointment. Persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
Remuneration: If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024, a salary ranging from $35.46 - $49.59 per hour.
