This role involves providing high-quality care in our general, emergency, or orthopaedic operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use. Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon. Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection. Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during general, emergency, and orthopaedic trauma surgeries. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Key Requirements: Current AHPRA registration. Minimum 1 year experience as a Scrub Scout in a Perioperative Setting. Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards). Compliance with ACQSHC national standards. Previous experience as a Scrub Scout, preferably in general, emergency, and orthopaedic trauma surgeries. Confident to liaise and support VMO's. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations. Remuneration: If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope-Queensland-Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2022-2025 (salaries range between $39.66/hr - $52.97/hr for Registered Nurses).
