Darwin Private Hospital is looking to employ a Registered Nurse for their Recovery and/or Day Surgery Unit. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.
As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include: Deliver evidence based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetySupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient careDeliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needsDarwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
Current Registration with AHPRAPost Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)Working with Children checkCommitment to Quality Patient CareCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsSound clinical decision making and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and within a teamBasic computer skillsIf you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and the Darwin Private Hospital - Nurses and Midwives - Enterprise Agreement - 2021-2024 ($37.79 - $50.97 per hour) Applications close: 23 August 2024
