Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 (Registered Nurse Level 1) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 What you'll be doing Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of careDemonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding careImplementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provisionWorking collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every timeMaintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growthThis role will see you demonstrate your commitment to providing quality clinical care. The pre-admission nurse ensures that pre-operative patients receive a comprehensive assessment, education and appropriate referrals are in place when patients require further review to optimise the surgical pathway. 
About you Recent relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Pre-Admissions and Recovery environmentCurrent AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environmentA strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater valuesExcellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within the multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skillsA commitment to learning and reflective practiceKnowledge of and commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and nursing practiceExceptional time managementHigh level competence in using electronic information systems such as patient information systems, procedural booking system, Outlook and Microsoft ExcelAn existing understanding or ability to acquire knowledge in applying Elective Surgery Waitlist governance and business rulesA desire to share your experiences and participate in the future development of the unitStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsThe ability to participate in on-call rosteringThe successful applicant will be self-motivated, self-starter who can work collaboratively with other speciality representatives to achieve a common goal. Further, you will be committed to providing quality care and service to patients and their families.
